The Supreme Court is back in session and held oral arguments yesterday about the possible creation of a gerrymandered federal district in Louisiana. Justice Brown took the lead, confronting the attorney speaking for the state of Louisiana. It gets pretty contentious!
Senate Majority Leader Thune threw a hardball at Democrats who still deny opening the Congress for work. He threatens to bring a full year budget bill to the Senate floor for votes. Democrats are crying because of what that would do to them if such a vote happens: they'd have to vote and approve it which would force reopening of the government!
